Hot Wheels 3D Projection Mapping

Unbelievable! The best 3D projection mapping that I have seen to date, for its theme, usage of the area and overall storyline. Hot Wheels brought some really cool animations into this activation at Customs House in Sydney, Australia. Cars, fire, skulls, sharks, pistons, racing and speed are all in this! Two thumbs up, click play and ENJOY.

Nissan's Sneaky Test Drive Tactic

Titled, "The accidental test drive" the new Nissan Patrol gets other SUV drivers to do exactly that. They used the Nissan Patrol, fastest in its class to park other SUV drivers in. Leaving a note on the windscreen, "Soray had to run, feel free toget inside and move car sorry" to entice them to move (test drive) the vehicle. As the car started it woke up with a voice coming through the audio, boasting about the cars features perfectly. Sneaky way to get people in the car, but they do apologise for it in the introduction which I liked. Over 78% converted and booked a real test drive!

Citroën C3 "Bip Bip" Advert

The H Agency have produced this cleverly funny advert for the Citroën C3. Although it is claimed to be set in France, I noticed a few scenes from Cape Town in the advert. This "Mr Bean" looking chap who drives an old car, brilliantly acts out the catch phrase for the advert with sounds that most modern day cars make. Bip Bip

Truly epic scenes, crazy skills and a storyline that follows Redbull's reputation for brilliant extreme videos. Snowboarding madness has been captured in Alaska, Chile, Aspen, Patagonia, Jackson Hole, British Columbia, Wyoming and others. I look forward to seeing the full movie, but for now the trailer is well worth watching, I promise you!

    Mini vs Monster Truck Advert

At first glance this Mini advert seems to be just an entertainer without much reference or information regarding the product. However, on further inspection they clearly have put a lot of effort into trying something new. Set in Las Vegas at the Sam Boyd Stadium, the monster truck attempts to clear the 15.52 meters of the Mini family (convertible, clubman, hatch and countryman). What makes this advert special is that it is the first to use 3D slow-motion technology and if you have a 3D ready screen, be sure to check out the 3D version. For more information and pictures, see the official site and to see if the driver really made it first time, see the 'making of video' for this Mini advert.

McDonald's Now Serving McFriend's with Smiles!

McFriends by McDonald's from Kyoko Takeshita on Vimeo.

Mc D's bring something new to the table with a side serving of social sauce for your meal. Brilliant if you are a loner who has no friends and need company whilst devouring a plastic sugar rush. Mc Donald's is the biggest provider of free Wi-Fi  in the United Kingdom, and this might just make some folk a bit more cheery. An experience similar to Chatroulette, but with people wearing clothes and eating in a civil manner. You really could have your Mc Donald's meal with anyone around Britain.

Abstract KitKat Art: Have a Breakism

What does a blank piece of art in a Netherlands gallery mean? It means nothing really, but the intrigued are attracted to this plain canvas. Colour association with unique positioning for this brand. Gazing a little closer and the message becomes clear... BOOM, a surprise from a friendly brand with a happy message. Just rest your eye's at this piece cause you're having a break! Enjoy the show and find your nearest shop or vending machine and ..have a break, have a KitKat.

2010 in Review: Google, YouTube, Mobile

Google searches in review through 2010 are excellent in the above video, but also see the official website with the mind blowing statistics displayed for easy reading.

A rewind of the year in video! The official channel/website for full top 10 viewing, plus the YouTube Blog post. The world and I share some different opinions here, but that sounds about right.

Mobile usage is massive and these statistics are really incredible! The mobile trend is nothing new, but do yourself a favour a watch this one. Wish I had the time to write these all down in bullet point for your folk, but here are some stats to note.

Added Bonus: An awesome Infographic of the year on twitter. Still waiting for a facebook review... I know these videos have been shared like crazy and are clogging up people streams of information, but I do think it will be nice to document some of them. Think they are a bit premature without the effect of a full and post December 2010, but with that said, Happy holidays, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you!

Prison Advert for the Drive Dry Campaign

FoxP2, a Cape Town based agency and Brandhouse bring a whole new approach to driving under the influence and its consequences. The "Drive Dry" campaign is aimed to discourage drinking and driving, something this advert seriously makes you think about. I support the notion of "dry driving" 100% and have stuck to it for some time. The guys in the video would 'love to meet you' if you get caught! Drive safe and sober during the holidays, don't risk everything.
